The Gudbrandsdal Lag sponsored a 2009 Jubilee Tour to the Gudbrandsdal Valley June 20-July 6, 2009.
The tour included many museums, archives and churches. We marveled at the many scenic views of the Gudbrandsdal Valley from the Jotunheimen Mountains to the Peer Gynt Road in Gausdal as well as viewed the 1994 Winter Olympic site.

We enjoyed a day at Maihaugen, toured the grounds and visited the library and archives. A special reception was planned at the museum with area Norwegians. We celebrated Mid-Summers Eve at Maihaugen with entertainment and a bonfire.
We made visits to the Espedalen Church and unusual graveyard, Sor-Fron and Venabygd Churches. In northern Gudbrandsdal, we viewed the Dovre and Eystein Churches. The tour also took us to a historic seter and a modern farm. We toured a cheese factory, and shopped at the Nisselofet in Heidel for hand crafted gnomes and trolls. We visited the Graffer farm which was the inspiration for one of the Gudbrandsdal bunads (national costume). We saw the World War II War Museum in Kvam.
The tour included the Lom Stave Church and the Ringebu Stave Church.
